Whole School Approach

Whole School Approach

The Reading Allowed Project is a Whole School Approach designed to inspire Reading For Pleasure. Cid and Mo believe that by involving the whole school community, the likelihood of encouraging children is greatly increased. Reading Allowed is delivered on a normal school day (no need for INSET) and includes comprehensive training for:
  • Teachers
  • Teaching Assistants
  • Children
  • Parents

Research

"Parents and the home environment are essential to the early teaching of reading and fostering a love of reading: children are more likely to continue to be readers in homes where books and reading are valued." Clark and Rumbold 2006
